Often times when we hear the word Mentor one might think of a really old, long bearded man, who is wise beyond his years teaching a young person about life. In reality some of our first mentor's are our parents. Then as we age it may become some of our teachers and then once we land work it could be a supervisor, manager, or the C.E.O. of a company.
Being a mentor is not for everyone, but I feel it is very important to our upbringing that we have them throughout our lives. For me my father and mother were my first mentor's, then my pastor at church, then some teachers as I progressed through school. Mentor's come in differing ways all throughout our lives and I feel you should always take advantage of having one.
